MORRIS – With the Legion and Jr. Legion baseball seasons being canceled due to COVID-19, area coaches have been working in unison to get a summer league for 18-and-under (18U) players started.
Morris coach Tony Reimers and Hancock coach Gordy Shaw each released their team schedules with possible updates happening throughout the season.
Morris is part of the Central Minnesota Independent League that will play both senior and junior league games.
The league has 14 members and includes Atwater-Tritown, Benson, BOLD, Granite Falls, Hector, Kimball, Melrose, Minnewaska, Montevideo, New London-Spicer, Redwood Falls, Sacred Heart/MACCRAY, and Willmar.
Hancock is not affiliated with any area league.
Game times and other details are still being worked out, but a plan is in place for some 18U baseball this summer. The schedules and times are a work in progress and there could be games added or changed.
