Morris Public Library Director Anne Barber told the KMRS Community Connection that it will be nice to see some human faces in the building now that the library has reopened. But she admitted there were some challenges felt by library staff in coping with the COVID precautions.
“I think not knowing when we were going to open, and how we were going to do it,” said Barber. “The stress of worrying about illness and worrying about family and the illness. You know, lots of unknowns. It’s hard when you don’t know what’s going to happen.”
The library is open for the general public from Noon to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and Noon to 4 p.m. Fridays. Those in at-risk populations can come from 11 a.m. to Noon on those days for more private access. Patrons will find a host of new health and safety guidelines in place, as the number of visitors in the building will be limited to five with 15 minutes alloted for each person.
