Applications are being accepted for the Stevens County Master Gardener Program now until October 1.
Individuals begin an internship that starts with the Master Gardener Core Course training. The course is taught online and is self-paced or in-person at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum beginning in January.
Following the course, interns will work with local Master Gardener volunteers on a variety of projects that educate the public about gardening and horticulture. Assisting with Hort Night at West Central Research and Outreach Center, staffing an information booth at the County Fair or at the Farmers Market held in Morris, attending the bi-monthly county Master Gardener meetings, answering plant questions by phone, are just some of the projects and events Stevens County Master Gardener interns can become involved with.
