Stevens County now has an 8th confirmed case of COVID-19, according to data released Thursday morning by the Minnesota Department of Health. Grant County has gone up to 22, increasing 5 since Wednesday, and Big Stone County stayed at 17. Pope is still at 12, and Swift bumped up to 25 cases with 1 death attributed to the virus. Douglas has 67 cases, while Otter Tail County increased to 102, with 1 death. Statewide, the death toll continued its recent one-digit increase by 5, making a total of 1,490 Minnesotans who have died from the illness.
Included in 40,163 total positive cases in the state are 3,906 health care workers.
