Pope County has risen to 24 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the latest data released this morning by the Minnesota Department of Health. That’s 5 more cases than were reported yesterday in Pope. The number of deaths statewide from the virus continues to track downward from last month with 7 deaths reported today, giving a cumulative total of 1,533 deaths. The number of confirmed cases, however, is on an upward trend, with 669 cases reported today. Grant County stayed at 32 cases, with 1 death from the virus, and Stevens stayed at 13. Traverse clicked up to 9, Douglas up to 94, and Swift now at 43 with 1 death. The number of patients in statewide ICUs is down to 110, but 252 are still hospitalized with the illness.
