Red Cross Blood Drives will be held in the area this week. Today is highlighted by a blood drive at Old No. 1 Bar and Grill in Morris from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tomorrow will feature a drive at Messiah Lutheran Church in Hoffman from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. There is also one at the Church of the Seven Dolors in Millerville from 1 to 6 Thursday, but that is listed as “full.” And on Friday, there will be blood drive at the New Hope Healing and Resource Center in Alexandria from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The drive in Chokio scheduled for Friday has been cancelled.
Appointments can be made at redcrossblood.org. Donors should be 17, or 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.
At yesterday’s blood drive in Hancock, 68 donors presented, including 7 first time donors. Michael McDonnell reached the 1 gallon donation milestone, Todd Worner reached 4 gallons, both Mary Rinkenberger and Kimberly Wolf reached 5 gallons, Janae Wilson got to 6 gallons, and Randall Thielke hit the 10 gallon mark.
