The Mankato Free Press reported that 45-year-old Micah Zeltwanger of Morris was charged last Monday in Blue Earth County District Court with gross misdemeanor DWI and misdemeanor leaving the scene of a crash. According to the criminal complaint, a 9-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time.
A man reported that he was rear-ended July 26 and the other driver did not stop. The man then followed the other driver to Rosa Parks Elementary School and reported the driver was attempting to get into the school. The charges said that Zeltwanger was detained outside the school and tested 0.23 on a breathalyzer, nearly three times the legal limit. The boy confirmed he was in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
