RUSC Kinship Mentoring is gearing up for their annual Golf Fore Mentoring fundraiser beginning 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 11 at the Pomme de Terre Golf Club. RUSC’s Executive Director Erin Koehntop told the KMRS Community Connection that golfing is a fun activity that can be easily done with social distancing.
“We are trying to be as contact-less as possible and so this year we have a Golf App,” said Koehntop. “So you can register on Golf Status. You can check in and find out which hold you start on, on the App. You can put your scores right in Golf Status. And so you don’t even have to register at the registration table if you don’t want to.”
There will still be a lunch at the event, but it will be individually wrapped and to-go. Cost is $60 per person or $240 for a group of four, which includes a T-shirt, non-alcoholic beverage and swag bag. Solo golfers can be hooked up with others to form a group. Contact RUSC or go to their webpage or Facebook page to register.
