The Morris Baseball Association will be dedicating the upper JV field (The Rock) to longtime Tigers varsity baseball coach Lyle Rambow prior to the Babe Ruth Championship game on Thursday, Aug. 13th.

Any former players or colleagues of coach Rambow are welcome to attend the event which will begin at 4:45 pm.

Lyle graduated from Atwater High School in 1974 and from Minnesota-Morris in 1978. He coached baseball for 33 years at Morris with 30 of them being head coach. His 352 career coaching victories ranks 49th all-time in Minnesota high school baseball. His career record was 352-295.

Coach Rambow’s teams won five West Central Conference championships, eight district championships and played in two state tournaments.

Lyle still helps run section tournaments and remains an active member of area baseball and youth sports in the Morris area.
