Grief Share, a grief recovery support group, will kick off the first of 13 weekly sessions 4 p.m. Monday at the Morris Evangelical Free Church, 901 Scotts Avenue, in Morris. Facilitator Judy Diehl explained on the KMRS Community Connection what the sessions hope to accomplish.

“It is a support group for those who are going through the loss of a loved one,” said Diehl. “And we talk about the intensity of grief. Sometimes it’s so intense that people have a hard time even getting out of bed in the morning. So we try to be a comfortable place for people to come and I think we all cry at some point. And that’s just fine. There’s no shame in tears, because we’ve all lost people that we love.”

The program is non-denominational though offered from a Christian perspective. The sessions run two hours each and people can attend the whole series or individual sessions. There is a $15 fee for the workbook, but scholarships are available. For information, contact the church at 320-589-2808.
