Minnesota is still among the national leaders in self-response rates for the 2020 U.S. Census. In data released Sunday, Minnesota has a 73.4 self-response rate, while the U.S. average is 64.4 percent.
Stevens County is leading area counties with a 73.6 percent self-response rate, with Swift coming in at 68.5 percent. Douglas has a 62 percent rate, Grant 61.7, Big Stone 60.3, Pope 59.2 and bringing up the rear is Traverse at 55.6 percent. Citizens can still fill out the brief Census survey at 2020Census.gov.
