The drop date for mail ballots in Stevens County is September 25th, and Stevens County Auditor/Treasurer Stephanie Buss reminded KMRS Community Connection listeners that mail balloting is something that has been going on in the county for a number of election cycles already.

“So, in Stevens County, all 16 townships are mail ballot precincts, along with 4 cities,” Buss explained. “So, the City of Donnelly, City of Alberta, City of Chokio,, and the City of Hancock are all mail ballot precincts. So anyone registered in those precincts will automatically get their ballot sent to them.”

Those in the City of Morris can request absentee ballots starting September 18th. The full interview with Stephanie Buss can be found at our website,, under the News tab in the Community Connection section.
