Stevens County continues its steady rise in confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 7 new cases reported in data released Friday morning by the Minnesota Department of Health. Stevens now has 64 cases confirmed since the pandemic began. Swift went up 2 since yesterday and is now at 70 cases. Douglas increased by 5 since the day before and is now at 179. Pope is up to 67, Grant is now at 56, Big Stone at 38 and Traverse stays steady at 21.
Statewide, there were 856 new cases reported Friday and 10 more deaths from the virus, bringing the state’s death toll to 1,847. There are 274 patients hospitalized in the state with COVID, 138 of those in the ICU.
