U.S. Sen. Tina Smith (D-Minn.)

Congressional representatives are headed back to Washington, D.C. this week, and Minnesota United States Senator Tina Smith told KMRS that she hopes Congress can come together to help the agricultural community get through the economic hit of the pandemic.

“It’s past time that we pass another COVID-19 relief package for Minnesota agriculture. The needs are still there,” said Smith. “There’s a special need in especially pork and turkey and ethanol. And so, we’re going to be working hard to see if we can’t get some agreement there.”

The complete interview with Senator Smith can be found on our website at kmrskkok.com, under the News tab in the Community Connection section.
