The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Stevens County rose by 4 in data released Friday by the Minnesota Department of Health, bringing the County’s total to 82 cases. Most other surrounding counties also registered case gains compared to the day before. Swift is now up to 78 cases, Pope rose to 74, Big Stone is now at 45, Traverse notched up to 28, and Douglas went up 5 to 194. Grant County stayed static at 56.
Statewide, there were 484 new cases reported, with 13 new deaths for a statewide death toll of 1,897 since the pandemic began. There are 253 patients hospitalized with the virus, 139 of those in the ICU.
