MINNEAPOLIS – The WNBA today named Minnesota Lynx guard Crystal Dangerfield Rookie of the Month for the month of September. This is the second Rookie of the Month award of the season (August) for Dangerfield and she becomes the second Lynx rookie to win the monthly award twice (Maya Moore, 2011).
In five September games, the 5-6 guard out of the University of Connecticut averaged 17.4 ppg on 50% shooting, 2.0 rpg and a team-high 5.0 apg. On the season, Dangerfield started 19 games as she led the Lynx in both scoring (16.2 ppg) and assists (3.6 apg).
