MORRIS – Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta earned their first win of the season with a sweep of BOLD on Tuesday 25-16, 25-21, 25-22.
Courtney Lehman had 16 digs to lead the Tigers defensively, and offensively it was a balanced attack with six players recording at least three kills, lead by LaRae Kram and Maddy Grove who each had four.
The Tigers are 1-1 on the season, the Warriors are 0-1.
Hancock 3, Ortonville 0
ORTONVILLE – Hancock’s dominant serving helped them push past Ortonville in a sweep 25-21, 25-16, 25-20 on Tuesday night.
Rylee Hanson had eight aces to go with six kills and five assists, Carlee Hanson added six kills with eight assists, Alexa Mierding chipped in six hills for the Owls who are 2-1. The Trojans fall to 0-2.
Minnewaska 3, Benson 0
BENSON – Minnewaska Area earned a sweep of Benson 25-21, 25-16, 25-13 on Tuesday in Benson.
Makenna Panitzke tallied eight kills and 21 digs for the Lakers, Avery Hoeper had five kills, 16 digs and two blocks, Avery Fehr had 15 digs and Brecklyn Beyer added eight kills. The Lakers are 1-1, the Braves fall to 0-1.
Brandon-Evansville 3, Rothsay 0
ROTHSAY – Brandon-Evansville overcame internal mistakes to earn a sweep of Rothsay 25-15, 25-18, 25-11. Bailey Schaefer paced the Chargers with 13 kills, Korrie Randt tallied 21 digs.

Section 6A Boys Meet
LONG PRAIRIE – West Central Area placed three runners in the top ten and finished second as a team at the section 6A boys meet from Long Prairie Golf Course on Tuesday.
Kade Runge and Kyle Schill finished second and third behind section champion Emmett Anderson of Staples-Motley. The Knights Alex Salwasser was eighth and Shad Swanson finished just outside the top ten at no. 11.
The Knights finished with 40 team points, two back of Staples-Motley in first place.
Ashby/Brandon-Evansville took sixth as a team with 236 points, the Chargers top finisher was Hunter Norby in 24th place.
Minnewaska was ninth as a team lead by Maeson Tank who was in 25th place. Benson/KMS was 15th, Border West took 19th and Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta finished in 21st place of 24 teams.
Joe Arens took 23rd place for the Bucs, Gavin Stallman paced the Tigers with a 71st place finish.
