Duininck Concrete announced the acquisition of Jay Morrell Enterprises (JME) assets and operations located in Alexandria, Morris, Wadena, New London and Hutchinson, effective December 22. The acquisition represents a joining of two multi-generational, family-owned businesses with an expanded market footprint and capabilities. JME Founder, Jay Morrell, led the family business for over 30 years.
Trevor Duininck, CEO of Duininck Companies, stated that “the acquisition represents an opportunity for growth, leveraging the resources and incorporating the strengths of both organizations.” Frank Mayfield has been leading Duininck Concrete as a transitional leader in the company’s succession work and will now continue leading and integrating the combined organization as the CEO. Duininck Concrete is headquartered in Willmar and is part of Duininck Companies, which has maintained its heritage in road and heavy highway construction.
