Our weekly COVID-19 update for the region sees Stevens County with 678 cases and 6 deaths since the pandemic began, with 15 active cases on isolation. Swift County has 800 cases with 16 deaths, 23 active on isolation. Pope has 696 cases with 4 deaths, 9 active on isolation. Grant has 403 cases with 7 deaths, 20 active on isolation. Big Stone has 446 cases and 3 deaths, 25 active on isolation. Traverse sits at 221 cases with 2 deaths, 11 active on isolation. And Douglas County registered 3,553 cases and 61 deaths, with 91 active on isolation.
Coming off a vacation week, there wasn’t much change on the Morris School District Dashboard this week, showing 19 total confirmed staff cases with 0 total active staff cases; and 53 total confirmed student cases with 7 total active student cases.
Free COVID testing continues today through Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Morris Armory: Minnesota National Guard on Iowa Avenue. The saliva testing is open to everyone with or without symptoms.
